Andalusia ensures that vaccination points are prepared for flu without an appointment, and thus, more efficient at points that do not reach average coverage figures. In this way, some Primary Care clinics set hours and places for those who want to be vaccinated without an appointment. This week, all provinces except Córdoba and Seville have no-appointment scores.
Specifically, in the province of Cádiz, over-the-counter vaccination against influenza for minors has been activated for today at the health center of Villamartín, Sierra Region of Jerez, Northwest Coast and Sierra Health Management Region, and tomorrow will be the shift in Arcos for the same group.
The Campo de Gibraltar West Health Management Area has set up an adult influenza vaccination point today in Algeciras Market; and also in this municipality, tomorrow at the Northern Center for Active Participation (CPA) and on Thursday 1 December at CPA Sur Saladillo to vaccinate adults against flu.
The Campo de Gibraltar Este Health Management Area will offer adults a non-scheduled flu vaccination this Thursday and Monday, the 5th, at CPA El Junquillo, both located in La Línea, at CPA Padre Pandelo; activated the extraction module for the External Consultations of the Hospital de La Línea in the mornings from Monday to Friday, except Wednesday, which will be in the afternoon, for the same group. Despite this precaution, the autonomous community exceeded the number of one and a half million people who were vaccinated against the flu in this campaign, which started on October 3, and there are 1,548,731 Andalusians who are particularly protected against this disease. Influenza vaccination has already been given by 63.9% (73.5% coverage) of people aged 65+, especially those over 80 years old and residential, which is the main target group of the campaign. In this group by province, 121,736 people were vaccinated in Almería (58.1% coverage); Cádiz, 2001,124 (53.3% coverage); Córdoba 175,416 (68.5% coverage); Grenada 189,458 (61.3% coverage); Huelva 88,418 (59.6% coverage); Jaén 156,581 (69.8% coverage); Malaga 271,172 (51.8% coverage) and Seville 344,826 (59.2% coverage). In the previous campaign, global coverage for people over 65 had reached 73.2%.
Regarding coverage in other main target groups, 87.4% of people living in nursing homes, 30.1% of children aged 6-59 months (14.5% in Almería, 9.35 in Cádiz, in Córdoba) 18.7%, 14.4% in the USA were vaccinated. Regarding the number of souvenir doses for Covid, 1,141,031 vaccines were administered. Thus, 82,818 doses have been placed in Almería since 3 October; 156,394 in Cadiz; 131,590 in Cordoba; 133,595 in Grenada; 66,187 in Huelva; 106,273 in Jaen; 192,675 in Malaga and 271,499 in Seville. Considering the scope of the booster dose, known as the fourth dose, more than 47.2% of the population over 60 years of age has been vaccinated to date. Flu and Covid campaign
